A Local Committee may be set for each area, considered by Regional Board to perform the functions like:
To discuss Local Problems in regards to ESI Scheme to secure its efficient working
To refer the complaints concerning medical benefits
To advise the Corporation, Regional Director on such matters as may be referred for advice.
There are 30 Local Committees in Gujarat Region and Meetings are held periodically.
