INTRODUCTION

The Employees' State Insurance Scheme was implemented in the State of Gujarat in the year 1964. With extension of scheme to various districts, it became necessary to decentralize the work in order to provide better facility to Insured Persons and Employers. Accordingly, on the recommendation of the Regional Board, the ESI Corporation set up Sub Regional Offices at Surat and Vadodara in the year 2000.

JURISDICTION

Sub Regional Office, Vadodara started functioning from 20.10.2000. SRO Vadodara is entrusted with the administration of ESI Scheme in sevn district of central Gujarat viz. Vadodara, Panchmahal, Kheda, Bharuch, Anand, Dahod and Narmada. With the implementation of the Scheme in Channi and Bajwa w.e.f 1-06-2006, the scheme is presently notified in 10 centres covering 129044 Insured Persons (as on 31-03-2006) employed in 5079 factories/establishmentss. The cash Benefits are provided through a network of 09 Branch Offices and 04 Pay Offices of ESI Corporation. Medical Benefits are provided through a network of 20 ESI Dispensaries and 02 ESI Hospitals under Vadodara Sub Region.

CASH BENEFITS

20. Confinement Exp. On account of expenditure spent for confinement at outstation insured woman/wife of IP. Rs. 1,000/-
21. Upper limit of commuted value of Permanent Disablement Benefit payment Rs. 30,000/-
22. Funeral Expenses Rs. 2500/-
